I studied medicine at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and continued with graduate studies in Liaison Psychiatry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I received my specialisation in Adults’ Psychiatry at “Dromokaiteio” Psychiatric Hospital of Attica. During my spelisation I worked in the Neurological Department of Attiko Hospital for a year, 6 months in Aiginiteion Liaison Department and another six months in substance abuse Department “ATHINA”.
I have worked as a Psychiatrist for Médecins du Monde Grèce, as a member of a multidisciplinary team on the Open Minds project, which aimed to address the mental health problems of vulnerable populations (patients without social security, homeless, and refugees).
Currently, I have my own private practice at the center of Glyfada and cooperate with other mental health professionals (child psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, etc.) to provide the best possible care for my patients.
I am married to Eirini Kouvelou, who is a psychiatrist for children and adolescents and together we have a son.
